Okay, another movie I picked up on a whim. I'd seen it before and forgot how much I liked it. It was part of the Pulp Fiction craze which might be why I didn't think much of it at the time. S Jackson is a pharmacist who works in a more illegal capacity and decides to make a debut with his latest drug. It has a very lock stock and 2 smoking barrels feel. Add mister "...AND I HOPE THEY BURN IN HELL!" and you have a movie to pop in when your just hanging with friends.

Alright, this show caught me by surprise. I picked it up, never having heard of it. I was looking at a night of doing nothing, so what do you expect? Wow was I surprised when I found my next favorite show. Harry Dresden is a PI and a wizard in Chicago. Its a setting where magic is there, its just hidden. Sort of a world within a world. If you liked stuff like the X Files, Millennium and/or Harry Potter, you're going to enjoy this. For those of you old enough, it reminds me of the old Friday the 13th TV series. I could only give it 3 stars because the production values are a little low and some of the writing is a bit too Casablanca at times.

This is the best show going right now in my opinion. Its about a guys who was a bit of a hood but decides to turn his life around after learning about the idea of Kharma. It takes a very simple approach to what it is to be a good person in the modern world.

The show itself does not use a sitcom format, following something more along the lines of an independent movies done in small segments.

The production values are high [since its got the NBC budget] and seems to show a segment of US life that most haven't thought about since Rosanne.

The writing for the jokes is done in an ignorant absurd style [by which I mean unschooled people make profound but absurd comments in an uneducated fashion] which is normally seen in shows like South Park and Family Guy. This show, however, is not doing the jokes for shock value. In a way, that makes it all the more valuable as part of the story.

So I guess if there was any one show I would tell people to buy, it would be the first and now second season of this show.

Those of you that know me know I'm not big on Dramas and that I probably got this movie in hopes that Jennifer Connelly gets naked. Well, ya got me; however, this movie has more do do with getting past mistakes and deal alot with racism as a overt excuse to more covert pain. It also does not have the happy ending that you expect from movies. Well, I was impressed.
